Branch Manager/Merchandising Manager

Our client, a multinational packaging company, is seeking a talented Branch Manager/Merchandising Manager to oversee sourcing operations in China and Asia. This role involves building and managing supplier relationships while playing a pivotal role in expanding the client base and supporting the company’s growth.

• Minimum 6 years of merchandising experience.

• Newly created position to support business expansion.

• Experience in the packaging industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for packaging materials (e.g., wood, paper) in China and Asia.

• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with client specifications.

• Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, from supplier selection to quality assurance and timely delivery.

• Stay informed on market trends, material innovations, and sustainable packaging solutions to enhance product offerings.

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, scalability, and reliable delivery.

• Develop and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their packaging needs and proposing tailored solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and client satisfaction
   

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• At least 6 years of experience in sourcing or merchandising.

• Knowledge of or experience in the packaging industry is a plus.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Fluency in English

• Willingness to travel
